Efficient, organized, streamlined.

Do these words describe your practice? How about your notes? Let’s face it, documentation isn’t the most exciting part of your job, but it’s something you have to do every day. Whether you’re brand new to private practice or switching from paper, you’ll find that using SimplePractice Notes & Templates saves you time and keeps you organized.

You should use SimplePractice Notes & Templates if…

1. You like doing things your way.

Each practice is unique. We’d never ask you to conform to a standard, or change the way you run your business. Rather, we’re committed to providing you with the tools to help you create the documents you need for any situation.

There’s a lot to consider when you’re running your own practice–getting clients, setting fees, managing bills, and more. How you take and organize your notes may be lower on your list of priorities, but should still be taken seriously. Do you just open a blank word document or sheet of paper and start writing? Does your profession require that you use a specific form? What type of information should you collect from new clients? Notes & Templates in SimplePractice makes it easy for you to answer these questions and develop your own process.

All the templates you need. No need to reinvent the wheel, just use one of our templates. We did the work so you don’t have to–our expanded template library includes intake forms for 7 different professions, various assessments, progress notes, treatments plans, and more. Plus, we’re constantly adding to this library to keep it valuable for as many customers as possible.

Notes as unique as you are. All of our templates are completely customizable for your own practice. Add questions, remove them, change the order–do whatever you’d like to make these note templates your own.

Prefer to start from scratch? You can build your own templates, too. Create multiple choice questions, checkboxes, dropdown menu options, short answer boxes, or space for longer paragraphs. Our template builder is easy to use, and works for both notes and forms.

2. You value your free time.

If you had an extra hour in your day, how would you spend it? Maybe you could actually make it to the gym, spend more time with your kids, or cook a healthy meal. On average, our customers reported saving 5-10 minutes per client by using SimplePractice to write and manage their notes and forms.

Be a workflow warrior. The best way to save time is to be more efficient, so we’re always thinking about ways to help you do just that. As soon as your session begins, you’ll see a note icon on your calendar, indicating that the session needs a note. Then, you can click that icon to go right to the note page, select your preferred template, and start writing.

Note IconStreamline your process. Where did you leave off last time? Instead of flipping through notebook pages, or navigating a client’s file, you can reload your previous session note and make quick adjustments. If you’re in the middle of a note and something else grabs your attention, autosave will make sure that your work is still there when you get back.

Sign, lock, and repeat. On your client’s overview page, you can see all of your notes at a glance and whether or not they are signed. Review and edit them, or sign and lock them with a click. Need someone else to sign off?  Easily share notes with your supervisor so they can approve or request edits.

Load previous notes.

3. You care about security and convenience.

You never know when you may need to access your notes, so we’ve made them as accessible, as possible, without compromising security.

Notes on the go. You can access and edit all of your notes from the SimplePractice mobile app, for both iPhone and Android. Some customers prefer to use the app to take notes during session, and others use their phone’s dictation software. Others use a stylus and iPad and copy their notes over to SP. Those who prefer handwritten notes can even take photos of their notes and upload them directly into client files.

100% HIPAA compliant. All notes in SimplePractice are secure and HIPAA compliant. And unlike paper notes that can be lost, stolen, or destroyed by the elements, your records in SimplePractice are backed up on multiple servers. You can even set up a passcode or Touch ID to protect your notes on your phone.

No matter where you are on your private practice journey, SimplePractice Notes & Templates will keep you organized and efficient. Try them for yourself, sign up for a 30-day free trial, and see the difference.
