On July 1st we’re phasing out support for ICD-9 diagnosis codes in SimplePractice. Last October, a federal mandate went into effect that requires everyone to use ICD-10 codes. You should already have your SimplePractice account set to ICD-10, but if you never switched over, here’s the simple step-by-step instructions to make that switch:
1. Click on My Account, then click on Settings.
2. Click on Practice Details.
3. Scroll down to ICD Classification and click on the dropdown. Select ICD-10.
4. Click on Save to save your settings.
It’s that Simple! You don’t need to go back and edit your old diagnoses but this will ensure that going forward all your clients are set on ICD-10.
