When our Co-Founder and CEO Howard Spector created his previous company, TrackYourHours, it was because he saw a need to help clinicians. This desire grew out to encompass the whole health and wellness community when he established SimplePractice with a straightforward goal — how can we make their lives (and practices) easier and more manageable?
SimplePractice AutoPay is the easy way for you to bill your clients and collect session fees without having to lift a finger… or keep clicking that mouse or swiping that credit card.
Why are you clicking and swiping so much?
Not only does this time and effort add up, it’s not the best way to run your practice. You should seek out a solution that’s easy to use, cuts down on entry time, and does the work for you.
A solution like AutoPay.
Instead of entering a client’s card information each time you need to charge them, or swiping their card for each transaction, you only need to enter this information once.
If your client doesn’t enter their credit card information during their intake, the first thing you’ll want to do is add the card number to their file. This will securely store the card and give you the ability to run transactions even when the card isn’t present.
Once you’ve enabled AutoPay, you will have the option to quickly enroll any of your clients who have a credit card on file for this feature. You can also see a list of your clients who do not yet have a card stored. By clicking their name, you’ll be taken directly to settings where you can easily add their credit card.
Does it benefit you to leave money on the table?
HINT: It doesn’t.
Unpaid invoices are open balances AKA money on the table. You can collect that income sooner.
Enrolling your clients in AutoPay significantly streamlines your billing workflow. If your client is enrolled in AutoPay, they will automatically be charged their full invoiced balance due overnight between 12-2am in your local timezone. AutoPay automatically charges the client’s credit card that you have on file.
You don’t have to worry about reconciling accounts. We do that for you while you catch up on sleep.
Are you spending too much time thinking about payments?
Even more to the point, are you spending too much time talking with your clients about their payments?
Say “goodbye” to those awkward conversations.
If control is a concern, note that you can enroll individual clients in AutoPay and disable it for others. You can specifically deselect clients you might not want to enroll (e.g., clients with high balances, clients that have special billing needs, etc). The choice is up to you. You have full control.
To further help you control AutoPay, we send an Evening Summary Email at the end of the day, so you can make changes before your client is charged. The Evening Summary Email shows what the client will be billed overnight through AutoPay. The AutoPay total includes both the current balance and any invoices that were set to be auto-generated that evening.
AutoPay is just one feature of Online Payments by SimplePractice.
Online Payments is an easy and seamlessly integrated way to accept credit and debit card payments from your clients. Plus, if you have the Client Portal enabled, your clients can log in and make payments directly from the Client Portal.
As a private practice owner, you have a lot on your plate — keeping track of payments shouldn’t have to be an additional concern. Stop wasting time, money, and clicks.
