When we created the SimplePractice mobile app, it was the first time our clinicians had a way to write notes digitally outside of the office without their computer. We saw the need for this ability ahead of the demand for it. Your time is limited, especially when balancing all the aspects of running a private practice. Flexibility to write notes in gaps of time takes note writing to where it best serves you.
Today, we’re excited to expand our mobile app’s capabilities with two new features that have been heavily requested by our customer community:
Custom Note Templates and Administrative Notes, which comprise our new iPhone app update.
Freedom in iPhone form
Be productive on your schedule. Write a note on the beach… or when you just have a few minutes of uninterrupted screen time to spare. For us, success is integrating this into the everyday lives of private practice owners to use where you want to, when you want to.
Custom Note Templates
Now you have full access to all of your custom progress notes templates in your mobile app. This functionality makes it easier for you to complete your work without needing to have your computer available. If you use the same progress note template for a client from one session to another, the “Load Previous Note” option makes it a breeze for you to perform this vital portion of your work.
Customizable templates help streamline the process, reducing the time it takes to write notes and saving you hours each week.
Our customer community loved it when we introduced the desktop Administrative Note feature which allows you to create a note for a specific client that is not part of their client record. These are great for you to leave notes for yourself as well as for other members of your practice, whether they have clinician access or not. You can now enjoy the benefits of this feature in your mobile app. Create, edit, delete, and view existing Administrative Notes for all of your clients within the mobile app.
Currently, this update is available on iPhone first, with an Android release planned in the near future.
