Product Features Update: January 2019
SimplePractice is constantly evolving as we add functionality and workflows to improve your experience. We frequently release product updates, some larger than others, and all of these updates are aimed at increasing efficiency and streamlining communication.
Let’s take a look at the following highlights from the past month.
Administrative Notes Launching this Week
These function just like a sticky note that you’d put on a client’s file. They allow you to leave a note that you, other clinicians, or your administrative staff can view. They also serve as a quick reminder for you or any of your team members. Your Schedulers and/or Billers will also be able to view a note or leave their own without having access to the client’s clinical notes, maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Each note records the author, the date, and time that it was saved. These notes can be printed and stored, but are not part of the client’s medical record. This feature leads to more streamlined and effective communication within your team. Any practice, whether you’re a solo practitioner or a large group with billers, schedulers, and multiple clinicians will immediately benefit from this new feature. (Desktop/Laptop/Tablet)
Sort Unbilled Appointments
Now clinicians and billers can filter their list of unbilled appointments by Payer or Clinician. Practices can more effectively view and bill appointments that have not yet been billed to insurance based on these filters. This feature makes batch claim filing easier and will be a huge help for large group practices with many insurance clients. (Desktop/Laptop/Tablet)
Improved “Forgot Password” and “Locked out of Account” Flow
Have you ever forgotten your password? Or been locked out of your account after attempting to sign in too many times? With our new login workflow, you now have clear step-by-step directions for recovering your password or username. This reduces confusion and gets you back into your account as quickly as possible. (Desktop/Laptop/Tablet)
Updated iOS app (Version 4.0)
With this latest version of the iOS SimplePractice app, the client details page, calendar, and client form have been completely redesigned to match the format you know so well from your iOS device. View upcoming client appointments and call/email a client with the tap of a button. When scheduling appointments, it’s easier to see where the appointment fits in your schedule and provides additional flexibility to change start time and duration. (Mobile)
Every single one of these updates gives you more control of your practice and ultimately allows you to provide better support and treatment to your clients. To see what’s coming next, check out our SimplePractice Product Roadmap
